How To Setup Your Free Blog

There are three main action to be taken to get your free blog setup and they are:

Create account Name blog Choose template

The first requirement for setting up a blogger blog is you registering for a “gmail” email account, which I believe everyone knows how to go about doing that.

1. Creating Blog Account
After you must have created a gmail, the next is to get started with Blogger, visit the Blogger homepage at www.blogger.com and click on “CREATE A BLOG” and it will take you to a new page where you are required to enter the email address you have just created and the password you intend using for your blog. “display name” and accept Blogger's “Terms of Service”. Then click on “Continue”

2. Naming Your Blog
As soo
n as it takes you to a new page, you are required to input your “blog title” (the title will appear on your published blog, on your dashboard and in your profile).

The next to the Blog title is your Blog Address (URL). The URL you select will be used by visitors to access your blog. As soon as you complete imputing the URL, click on “Continue” to have your way to the next page where you are to choose a template.

3. Choosing A Template
On the template page, there are about 12 templates for you to choose from.

What is a template?
A template is the design that determines how your blog posts appear; it is a way to give a uniform "look and feel" to your main blog page as well as its subsequent archive pages.

Now that you know what template is, it’s recommended you choose a preferred one that would suite our blog posts. To avoid mistakes when choosing, you can easily tick any template that you fancy amongst the 12 templates, then click on the link “Preview Template” right below that template you ticked and it will pop up a sample blog page showing how your blog will look like if you finally choose that template for your blog post. When you are through with your preferred template selection, click on “continue” to finalize your blog setup and get ready to start posting.
